The purpose of this community network is 1) to bring about more effective and efficient delivery of maternal and child health services and eliminate any unnecessary duplication of effort; 2) to pool community resources; 3) to plan and launch community-wide maternal and child health initiatives; and 4) to develop and use advocacy to gain services or other benefits for the community. The MCH Coalition meets quarterly to discuss the project and progress towards program goals.
